Steampunk ballerina Althea
Inspired by SLK's marrionette's, I give you my steampunk ballerinas!
First in the series, this steampunk beauty is composed of mostly reclaimed materials, giving Althea a second life!
What isn't she wearing? Head to toe; her hat is a repurposed sprinkler head, face is cast resin, neck collar is a recycled metal bottle and vintage chandelier crystals, torso is a drill motor, yarn and thread scraps with a steel wire cage, arms are a vintage hair roller and salvaged motor parts, fabricated hands, her tutu is mostly plastic caps from hair color tubes, acrylic shards, pods, Christmas bulbs and a few random found objects, and her feet are piano hammers. She is abundant!
She measures 15" high seated, 19' including feet and her tutu is 10" wide
Althea is on hold for a gallery exhibition
