Trip to Penland

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the two week summer session at the Penland school of crafts. I took the concrete and hollow forms class with Demitra Thomloudis. Wow, it was amazing! Being fully immersed in art with other artists was just what I needed. I felt right at home. It's hard to explain if you haven't been  but chatting, creating, foraging, inspiring and encouraging each other was so good for my soul. I didn't want to leave. The personal growth I experienced just in my first week was beyond belief. I left there more motivated and focused than I could have imagined, and I was already motivated to begin with! I'm forever grateful for the opportunity and look forward to going back.
